Managing employees effectively is a challenging and rewarding process which starts with a clear understanding of how our behaviors influence workplace environments. Knowing yourself and the strengths you bring to work is a great place to start to improve your managerial skill set.
Do your employees clearly understand what is expected of them? Are they treated fairly and consistently? Is there open and honest communication? Do employees participate in decisions that affect their work? Are there opportunities for them to improve their own skills? These are important questions to consider as a supervisor. Through small group discussions and entertaining interactive exercises, you will develop a better understanding of what you can do to improve your work groupís effectiveness. In addition, you will acquire new "people" skills to more successfully manage the everyday challenges in your workplace.
