How do I find events?
There are many ways in which you can find events on this system.
- You can view the events for today or the upcoming week.
- You can click on a specific date on the calendar to view events on that date.
- You can search the events by date range, location, campus, category, and any keywords.
Who can post an event?
Any organization, department, unit, college, school, affiliate, and alumni group from Rutgers can add events to the Rutgers Events Calendar. Events will be added at the discretion of the Rutgers Events Calendar Administrator.
To apply as a new organization click on Administration on the main calendar page and then sign in with your NetID and password. Then click on Create a New Organization. The Rutgers Events Calendar Administrator will need to approve you before you can add events.
To apply as a new user to an organization that already has access to the Rutgers Events Calendar click on Administration on the main calendar page and then sign in with your NetID and password. Then click on Request Access to An Exsiting Organization. The person in your organization who has leader privilages for the Rutgers Events Calendar will need to approve you before you add events.
What is the difference between Leader and Admin user rights?
Leader access allows users to add events, edit and cancel events that anyone in their organization submitted, and approve others for access. Admin access allows users to add events, and edit and cancel events that they themselves submitted.
How can I add line breaks to my event descriptions?
You may add simple HTML tags to your events' descriptions in order to create line breaks or paragraphs. Insert the <br /> tag to create a line break (you may use multiple tags to create several empty lines). In order to create a paragraph, place text between <p> and </p> tags, like this: <p>This is a paragraph.</p><p>This is the next paragraph.</p> Please be careful when using HTML tags; HTML tags typed incorrectly would not work as intended. How can I add Rutgers events to my website?
