This preparatory course affords attendees access to dozens of applicable resources that have been assembled specifically for a comprehensive and focused understanding of relevant information one may expect to find on the State REHS licensing exam and working in the field. It is an intensive course that requires your participation both during the live online sessions and in study assignments between classes. We will provide the tools, but it is up to you to ask questions during the class periods and engage with the take-home materials to really absorb the information in preparation for testing.

The course consists of live and/or pre-recorded presentations, question and answer sessions, take-home study activities and quizzes, and a practice exam focused on the following topic areas:

  • Public Health Administration
  • Communicable Disease / Epidemiology
  • Environmental Pollution
  • Public Bathing Places / Pools / Youth Camps
  • Water and Wastewater Treatment (including Disinfection, Chlorine Chemistry, Cross Connections, and Indicator Organisms)
  • Onsite Sewage Disposal Systems and Wells
  • Food Protection and Safety
