Controlling insects is a lot more complicated than just applying pesticide controls. To effectively manage insects, you must:

  • Identify the insect;
  • Understand its life cycle;
  • Distinguish between beneficial and harmful insects; and
  • Apply the right control at the right time.

Taught by Dr. Paula Shrewsbury, Extension Specialist, University of Maryland, this class covers all four of these topics with practical tips and quick identification clues.
