In France, artists created illustrations in journals and newspapers that satirized political figures, while others provided eyewitness accounts of both mundane and major aspects of the era’s many conflicts. This exhibition features a selection of 19th-century French prints that demonstrate the artist’s role as reporter, advocate, and critic in their depiction of current events..

MUSEUM HOURS: T-F, 10am- 4:30pm. Sat-Sun, Noon-5pm. 1st Tues of most months, 10am-9pm. The museum is closed Mondays, major holidays, and the month of August. FREE Admission.
