||Robert E. Buswell, Jr. is the Irving and Jean Stone Endowed Chair in Humanities at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was president of Association for Asian Studies (AAS), received the prestigious Manhae Grand Prize in Korea, and was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2016.
