Synopsis: RU Ready to Farmô: Specialty Crops is a three-day course for beginning farmers interested in commercial vegetable production. This class will include both classroom and hands-on instruction at two local farms in Middlesex County on March 25, March 28, and April 1, 2017.

This class will explore crop systems, management practices, and methods that will prepare participants to produce commonly grown specialty crops. Participants will have the opportunity to further investigate areas of interest including basic plant science, controlled environment production, soil health, disease identification and more. All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for attending the program.

The class schedule is as follows:
Saturday, March 25, 2017: 9am to 3pm
Tuesday, March 28, 2017: 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Saturday, April 1, 2017: 9am to 2pm
