Synopsis: Better soil grows better plants! Bruce Neary takes the mystery out of soil science while energetically mixing in his love of horticulture. This 2-day class will be held on December 4 and 11, 2017.

You will learn how to identify and correct soil conditions that create plant problems, including the proper way to read, analyze, and correct PH levels. He'll explain the soil's physical and biological relationship to plant growth in easy-to-understand terms.

In addition, Rutgers Extension Specialist Daniel Kluchinski will teach an outdoor segment that will show students how to apply topics taught in the classroom to their work in the field. Bill Bamka, also of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, joins this exciting and highly qualified instructional team to share his expertise on the chemical nature of soils.
