Synopsis: The Rutgers Youth Jazz Ensemble is open to serious musicians ages 11-18 by audition only. Participants are challenged to grow in new directions during rehearsals that incorporate ear training, jazz theory, and advanced concepts in jazz improvisation.

Additional Information: The RYJE performs in small and large-group settings on and off campus throughout the year. A video recording of repertoire shared via YouTube or other video host is required. Please note that participation in the Expanding Your Horizons workshop on Nov. 14 will be considered as an audition for students wishing to join the Rutgers Youth Jazz Ensemble.
