Additional Information:

Celebration of Storytelling is open to preschool and daycare programs, as well as children and their guardians. Master storyteller Shirley A. Johnson shares a program of interactive multicultural tales. Using props, movement, music, and more, her stories stay alive in the minds of young listeners long after the program ends. Interactive multicultural storytelling is a vehicle through which very young learners can better understand themselves and others; it allows children to play with stories so that the stories are both experienced and heard.

Storytellers Shirley A. Johnson and Judi Schleppenbach present a teacher workshop that provides participants with tools to help young children gain an understanding and appreciation of racial and cultural diversity. Participants receive three professional credit development hours. Light dinner is included.
