Au pairs who participate in this weekend class will gain an appreciation for how communication and information sharing has become personalized and visualized in a digitally mediated world. We will explore the Rutgers University–New Brunswick campus and the surrounding community and create a blog that consists of our own individual and group selfies and our ideas and expressions of what these selfies represent. We will spend time in the classroom, on campus, in New Brunswick, and in digital spaces as well, as we take selfies, discuss their meaning, and construct our blog.

NOTE: Please bring a laptop, Notepad or iPad to class both days if possible. You should also bring a backpack or bag to carry it in, as we will be on the move, venturing into the Rutgers campus!
