This course is designed for private and public sector planners and practitioners, appointed and elected local officials, community leaders, and land managers.

Course Objectives:

  • Provide participants with an overview of coastal resilience theory and practice with a particular focus on community-based planning and decision-making;
  • Introduce participants to current science relative to coastal resilience, including projections related to sea level rise in New Jersey; and
  • Provide participants with a solid understanding of tools and resources available in New Jersey to undertake community-based coastal resilience planning.
