Join us at Rutgers Tech Camps this summer for fun, learning, and more! Our 21st century S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) summer camp programs focus on giving kids the tools they need to lead successful lives in the digital age. We will engage your child's creativity and problem solving abilities, while teaching them technology skills that will last a lifetime.

In this camp, learn the ins-and-outs of how video games are designed and produced. Campers will use a number of software design tools to create Mario-like, platform-style video games.

Highlights include informational lectures, as well as the use of a hands-on game design lab where campers design, customize, construct, and test their creations.

Camper Goals:

  • Learn 2D Game Design principles
  • Review platform gaming
  • Develop Mario-like game worlds via Flash and XML-based tools
  • Build HTML5-base game worlds with Game Froot
Target Audience: Researchers,  Faculty,  Staff,  Alumni,  General Public,  Parents & Families
