“Role of estrogens in fluid and energy homeostasis in females”

This seminar will discuss the mechanisms by which estradiol acts to regulate food and fluid intake in female rats. In particular, research highlighting the roles different estrogen receptor subtypes play in meditating the anorexigenic and anti-dipsogenic effects of estradiol will be discussed.
