“Reward, Interrupted: Inhibitory Control and its Relevance to Addictions”

A defining feature addictions is the impaired ability to exert self-control over reward seeking and taking. This lecture will review the nature of the relationship between poor self-control and addictions, as well as identify underlying biological mechanisms (from genes to neural circuits).
